Teams basics
A strong team starts with a shared plan. Before chasing fights, agree on how you will build, gather supplies and support each other.
Building your team
Play with people you can communicate with and trust. Decide who will lead calls, who enjoys building and who will keep supplies organized. Small, coordinated groups are easier to manage than a roster that never plays together.
Getting established
Start with the essentials: food, tools, building materials and spare equipment. Choose a place to settle together, then work toward a practical base rather than an elaborate build you cannot defend. Keep commonly used supplies easy to find.
Preparing for combat
Check your armor, bring the supplies your group needs and agree on a meeting point before leaving. Stay close enough to help one another. Clear calls about your location, health and retreat are more useful than several people talking at once.
Recovering after a fight
Regroup before heading straight back out. Replace lost equipment, restock shared supplies and talk through what went wrong. Keeping a reserve of basic gear helps your team recover without starting from scratch after every loss.
Claiming land
Your base is your team's home. Plan the space around it carefully and check the current land-claim information in game before committing resources.
Choosing a location
Scout the area together. Think about nearby teams, access to resources and the routes you will use to reach fights or events. A convenient location is only useful if your group can return to it safely.
Planning your claim
Mark out the footprint of your base before you build. Leave room for storage, entrances and the activities your group actually needs. Check the available claim size and any restrictions in game; do not assume that every block around your build belongs to your team.
Organizing your base
Give shared items a clear place and separate everyday supplies from your reserves. Make entrances easy for teammates to recognize, and keep important paths clear. Good organization saves time when everyone needs to gear up at once.
Protecting your home
Review who has access to your team's space and avoid inviting unfamiliar players into sensitive areas. Check the rules before using traps or unusual building techniques. Claim protection and raiding conditions can depend on the current map, so confirm them in game rather than relying on assumptions.
Koths and events
King of the Hill brings teams together around a contested objective. Success depends on preparation, positioning and keeping your group focused while other teams challenge you.
Understanding the objective
At a King of the Hill event, teams compete for control of a designated area. Read the event announcement and in-game objective information before joining. The current event sets the capture conditions, timing and rewards; do not assume every event works exactly the same way.
Preparing your group
Agree on who will focus on the objective and who will support them. Restock before traveling, choose a route together and make sure everyone knows where to regroup if the team gets separated. Arriving together matters more than arriving first on your own.
Holding your position
Watch approaches to the objective and keep teammates within reach. Chasing a single opponent can leave your group exposed or pull you away from the capture area. Communicate pressure early and rotate support toward the players who need it.
After the event
Leave as a group, return important supplies safely and restock for the next outing. Review your positioning and communication whether you won or lost. Check ParaPots announcements for the next event and its specific details.
